Any information we collect from an ‘influencer’ or ‘business’ is used for the sole purpose of operating the MIA service. For example, when reviewing the outcome of a campaign, statistics and data are needed in order for a business to measure the success and likewise for ‘influencers’ to see how they performed.

MIA does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists or associated data to third parties.

MIA is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the MIA website.

We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information. Users may opt-out of receiving any or all communications from MIA by contacting us here: [email protected].

We protect your data

MIA secures your personal and/or business information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

What personal data do we collect?

For social media users we ask for name, year of birth, gender, primary language and the region they live. We also ask for at least one social media account details which will be used when they share business posts. For business we ask for an email address in order to register an account with us. We also ask for company information of businesses for invoicing reasons once they submit their first campaign.

Why do we collect personal information?

MIA requests information for matching business campaigns to social media users ('influencers').

How long do we keep personal data?

We keep personal data for as long as a business or social media user wishes to remain active in using MIA. We never share this with a third party.

How can customers delete, disclose or update personal information MIA hold?

A customer can delete their account by emailing [email protected]. . They can update all their personal information in their settings menu within their user dashboard.

Do we share user personal data both now and in the future?

MIA will never share customers personal data with any third parties. MIA will only disclose personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on MIA or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of MIA; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of MIA, or the public.
